Complete the sentences with the right pronoun.

Choose the correct pronoun (nominative or accusative)?

  1. Morgaŭ iros al kinejo kun .[Tomorrow, I am going to the cinema with you.]|1st gap: mi is the subject (who/what is doing the action?) → nominative|2nd gap: pronoun is used with a preposition (kun) → nominative
  2. Ĉu iu vidis ?[Did anybody see us?]|nin is the direct object (who/what receives the action?) → accusative
  3. venis per taksio.[She came by taxi.]|ŝi is the subject (who/what is doing the action?) → nominative

Rewrite the sentences replacing the underlined words with the correct preposition.

Don’t change the word order!

  1. La spektantoj rigardas la prezentadon.[The spectators watch the presentation. → They watch it.]
     
  2. La viro diras ion al Linda.[The man is saying something to Linda. → He is saying something to her.]
     
  3. Ĉu William skribas leteron?[Is William writing a letter? → Is he writing it?]
     
  4. La infano ludas en ĝardeno.[The child is playing in the garden. → He/She is playing in the garden.]|If we don’t know whether it’s a boy or a girl, we use “it” in Esperanto.
