Introduction
Adjectives have an -a ending and modify nouns. Adverbs that stem from adjectives have an -e ending and modify verbs, other adverbs or adjectives and are also used in impersonal sentences without nouns.
Here we explain the difference between adjectives and adverbs and how to make comparative forms in Esperanto.
- Example:
- Estas bona tondilo.
- Mia tondilo tondas pli bone ol la via.
Apart from adverbs that stem from adjectives there are other types of adverbs. They don’t all end in -e.
- Example:
- Bedaŭrinde morgaŭ mi ne estos tie.
